Documentation and Peer Assessment by CPSO

In Ontario the CPSO Peer Assessment in Emergency Medicine is being redesigned.  Their goal is to make good physicians great.  Their premise is that good documentation is part of good care.   They plan to look for different data elements or ‘elements of quality’ on the chart covering important items from the history, examination, investigations ordered and plan.  Common or high risk complaints such as Chest Pain, Asthma, Back Pain and Headache etc. will be reviewed.

BEC Charts help clinicians capture best evidence quality data elements during a patient encounter at the point of care.  By presenting the clinician with complaint appropriate charts, physicians can quickly capture the details of the patients visit.  Reduce your documentation time by 30 minutes/shift while improving your documentation. this sounds like a win-win.
